Spike Jonze is an american director of music videos, adverts, films, television and skate videos. He is producer and co-creator of MTVs 'Jackass' and directed both the 'Jackass' movies. He also directed such films as 'Being John Malkovich' and 'Adaptation'.
His music video career involved directing for artists such as Beastie Boys, Bjork, The Chemical Brothers, Tenacious D, Kanye West, Weezer, The Pharcyde, Daft Punk, R.E.M, Notorious B.I.G and Fatboy Slim.
He was seen as a pioneer and doing things that no-one else ha done in music videos such as The Pharcyde video, Drop, where the entire video was filmed backwards, including the lyrics. He has become a cult hero with his fans. is music videos often have a home made feel.
